Strengthening commercial connections between China, Malaysia, ASEAN and Europe through complementary expertise, business networks and market access.

TAPiO Management Advisory Sdn. Bhd. and Yingke Consulting Sdn. Bhd., known as Yingke Malaysia, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a framework for potential strategic cooperation in cross-border business, investment and institutional engagement.
The agreement, marked by an official signing ceremony, brings together TAPiO's Malaysia-based strategic advisory and execution capabilities with Yingke Malaysia's professional and business networks, creating a platform to explore new commercial opportunities connecting Chinese, Malaysian and European businesses.
TAPiO was represented by Bernhard Schutte, Chairman; Thomas Bernthaler, Managing Director; and Tan Heng Siang, Chief Operating Officer. Carmen Lee, Head of Business Development, also attended. Yingke Malaysia was represented by Maggie Yao, Managing Director.
Connecting complementary strengths

Successful international expansion requires more than identifying an attractive market. Companies need reliable local intelligence, suitable commercial partners, an understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to translate opportunities into practical business decisions.
TAPiO supports international companies, investors and institutions through market evaluation, business development, partner identification, stakeholder engagement and investment facilitation, with Malaysia serving as a strategic gateway to ASEAN.
Yingke Malaysia operates within the China-headquartered Yingke global professional services network. Its capabilities include cross-border business consulting, investment-entry support, corporate and regulatory coordination, and business resource matching.
Through the MoU, both organisations intend to explore opportunities to combine their respective expertise and networks, particularly where clients require market-specific assistance, reliable introductions or complementary professional capabilities.
Expanding opportunities across borders
The framework identifies several potential areas of cooperation, including:
- Business matching and strategic introductions: Connecting companies, investors and institutions with relevant commercial counterparts across Malaysia, China, Europe and other mutually agreed markets.
- Market entry and business expansion: Exploring reciprocal support for companies establishing operations, identifying partners or addressing commercial and operational challenges in unfamiliar markets.
- Investment and institutional engagement: Facilitating dialogue and identifying opportunities involving businesses, investors, relevant institutions and other stakeholders.
- Trade missions and business delegations: Exploring joint participation in or coordination of business missions, investment delegations, industry workshops, seminars and networking programmes.
An important consideration is Malaysia's potential role as a platform for Chinese enterprises exploring ASEAN expansion, while also facilitating opportunities for Malaysian and European businesses seeking commercial engagement across these markets.
The intended cooperation is reciprocal, recognising that cross-border opportunities can develop in multiple directions.
From business connections to practical opportunities

The MoU establishes a foundation for continued dialogue and the identification of potential areas of mutual interest.
Individual initiatives, commercial engagements and investment-related projects will be assessed separately, with their respective scope, responsibilities and implementation arrangements agreed by the parties where appropriate.
For TAPiO, the collaboration reflects its broader approach to international business development: connecting relevant organisations, understanding commercial and institutional realities, and helping businesses move from initial market interest towards informed decisions and practical implementation.
By bringing together complementary capabilities and international relationships, TAPiO and Yingke Malaysia aim to explore opportunities that can support companies navigating increasingly interconnected Asian and European markets.
